Travelling long distance? Take the plane. Buses tend to be slow
and unreliable and trains although generally efficient charge tourists
a premium. Reservations necessary.

Vietnam can be divided into distinct seasons between north and
south.
South – Rainy season (May to November - Highest rainfall
June to August)
Dry season (December to April). Hot and Humid –(End of February
to May)
The central coast: Dry season (June to October)
North – Cool damp winters (November to April) and hot
summers (May to October).
Highland areas: Significantly cooler with temperatures reaching
freezing in winter.
North and Central areas may be affected by typhoons between July
and November
