About Ninh Binh Town:

The town of Ninh Binh is a good place to base yourself if you're visiting one of the neaby national parks. Nearby is Tam Coc, an inland "Halong Bay" - where Sampans gently glide upriver through grottoes and past rice fields. A short drive away lies the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. Cuc Phuong National park is also within easy reach -around 45km from Ninh Binh.

Ninh Binh lies just south of the northern provinces and is a good base for visiting the temples at Hoa Lu and Tam Coc - an "inland Halong Bay" with its' grottoes and meandering rivers. There are also several Pagodas around the area.
