Set on a large block rambling its way down to the beach, Mai House boats some particularly pleasing bungalows that are spread across the resorts well manicured grounds. The bungalows here are a step above many of the options on Phu Quoc -- theres an attention to detail here that we found lacking in many of the other spots on the island. Comfortable beds and tastefully furnished, the bungalows have large spotless bathrooms -- keep an eye out for the resorts motif through the resort.

About Duong Dong:
Duong Dong, where the airport is located, offers delicious seafood and a colourful market. At the mouth of the Duong Dong River sits Dinh Cau Rock, home to a small Buddhist shrine erected in the 1930s.
Located 36 miles (58km) east of Haiphong, Phu Quoc is called the Emerald Island and is the largest Vietnamese island in the Gulf of Thailand. The southwest coast of this 48-km-long island features some of the finest coconut palm-lined beaches to be found in Vietnam. Part of an archipelago of 22 islands in this picturesque area.
